Travel Teams

The deadline for Travel registration was June 26th, 2010.  All players registered after this date will be charged a $10 late fee, placed on a waiting list, and then can be placed on a team only if room is available on the Team Rosters submitted to BAYS.  Click here to register for the Fall 2010 season.

Please note:

Mass Youth Soccer requires that all players placed on travel rosters, need there date of birth verified by the affiliated Club. In the case of foreign born players necessary waivers have to be obtained by Norwood Youth Soccer. To facilitate this verification process the players are required to send a copy of the Birth certificate to NYS by mail. These will be verified and returned to the families. Mailing address is Norwood Youth Soccer, P.O. Box 782, Norwood, MA 02062. Please note we only need to see the player's Birth Certificates once which will allow our NYS Club to be in compliance with FIFA regulations. In the case of foreign born players additional information may be sought per individual basis. NYS appreciates your co-operation which will enable us to be compliant with regulations.

The Norwood Soccer Organization is a standing member of BAYS (Boston Area Youth Soccer League), providing the opportunity for the Norwood community to enjoy competitive soccer with neighboring communities.

Massachusetts Tournament of Champions

The Massachusetts Tournament of Champions (MTOC) is a season-ending tournament sponsored by Mass Youth Soccer that brings together age/gender group champions from participating travel leagues. Each of these leagues, in Norwood's case BAYS, establish their own guidelines, including league playoffs, to determine their representatives to this tournament. The leagues that participate in MTOC are: Berkshire, BAYS, Coastal, Essex, MAYS, Middlesex, Nashoba, Pioneer Valley, South Coast and South Shore.
